Alibaba Group changes to help merchants

eCommerce giant Alibaba Group is to merge its flash-sales marketplace Juhuasuan with its B2C platform Tmall.com.

It says the integration will make it easier for merchants to transition to digital retailing.

Set up in 2010, Juhuasuan has evolved into a marketing platform for flash sales and daily deals used by merchants with virtual storefronts on Tmall and Taobao Marketplace, Alibaba’s C2C website.

Alibaba has also set up a marketing division and merchant centre within Tmall, as well as business units covering platform sales in three key product categories: apparel, electronics and home decoration, and FMCG.
