Daniel Wellington Hong Kong to open 10 stores
Watchmaker Daniel Wellington plans to open 10 new stores across Hong Kong within the next 12 months.
The Daniel Wellington Hong Kong plans were announced at the launch of the brand’s Classic Petite collection and a global marketing campaign at LCX, Harbour City Thursday, attended by Cantopop singers Fiona Sit and Pakho Chau.
The campaign will be fronted by four A-list global celebrities, model and TV personality Kendall Jenner actress and singer Rola and model siblings Lucky Blue Smith and Pyper America Smith.
Daniel Wellington has built its brand awareness on social media, an unusual course for luxury watch brands.
“Daniel Wellington watches are known and loved worldwide for their classic, minimalist design and interchangeable straps,” said a company spokesperson.
“Having started the brand with a non-traditional advertising rule, Daniel Wellington is proof that carefully planned online content truly is the best brand catalyst. With over 2.9 million followers and over 1 million uses of the hashtag #danielwellington, their combined strategy of influencer activity and user generated content has clearly paid off and changed the watch industry forever.”
The four new watches launched under the brand’s Classic Collection are named Classic Petite. Available in rose gold and silver, they are thin, refined and perfectly round.
Thursday’s launch at LCX was held at Daniel Wellington Hong Kong’s pop-up store which will remain open until March 19 on Level 3, Ocean Terminal.
