Personal touch for Black Sheep Restaurants venture
Shortly after launching Le Petit Saigon, Black Sheep Restaurants is returning to Central with the New Punjab Club, its 15th dining establishment.
Opening this month, the Wyndham Street restaurant is a personal project of the group’s co-founder Syed Asim Hussain, a proud Punjabi himself, reports Hong Kong Tatler. It pays homage to the original Punjab Club, an athletic organisation to which Hussain belonged during his childhood. It is also a tribute to his father, who owned Hong Kong ’80s hotspot The Mughal Room.
Designed by Sean Dix of Dix Design+Architecture, Hong Kong, and seating 40 guests, the restaurant will introduce interpretations of traditional Punjab classics, including items prepared in restored tandoor ovens from the Mughal Room.
