SkyCity retail management up for tender

Tenders are being called for the development and management of retail outlets in the upcoming retail/dining/entertainment landmark SkyCity, to be built next to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

The project will have a gross floor area of up to 350,000sqm, making it the largest retail complex in Hong Kong.

HKIA serves more than 70 million passengers annually, with this figure projected to rise to more than 100 million when the Three-Runway System is fully introduced.

Cross-boundary infrastructures already under construction to enhance the connection between HKIA and the Pearl River Delta region will maximise the potential of SkyCity, says the airport. It will one day be within a two-hour drive of about 60 million people with a regional GDP of around HK$7 trillion (US$ 896.6 trillion).

Tenders for the commercial development and management of SkyCity close on February 2, with a set of documents costing $5000 (non-refundable).
