China Mobile launching ‘smart mall’ concept

China Mobile Group Guangdong will launch two concepts at Novotown, an integrated project being developed by Lai Sun Group in Hengqin Zhuhai.

It will introduce its first concept store, as well as a “smart mall” concept – by logging in to the shopping mall’s Wi-Fi system, customers will be able to access such services as parking payment, and restaurant and locker reservations. They will also be able to find stores and receive coupons via app or website.

For retail tenants, the system grants tenants access to certain customer data so they can better\raft their marketing strategies.

A range of concept brands popular in China will be included in the development, such as Hutaoli Music Restaurant & Bar, multi-purpose sports centre Sports Infinite and supermarket Super Species.

Next to Macau, Novotown is positioned as a cultural and creative incubator with confirmed partners including National Geographic, Porsche, Real Madrid Football Club, and Taipei Wellness Clinic and Resort.
