Gucci Art Walls pop up in city streets around the world
Gucci has revealed new murals on walls on the streets of Hong Kong, London, Milan and New York.
The Gucci Art Walls have been created to showcase a new exhibition in Shanghai entitled “The Artist is Present”, which Gucci has supported. The exhibition is curated by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan.
Styled after the exhibition’s advertising poster, the Gucci art walls depict artist Marina Abramović’s 2010 performance at Museum of Modern Art, where she sat for 700 hours in a chair staring into space. Abramovic is not involved in the project.
The exhibition will run from October 11 until December 16 at the Yuz Museum Shanghai.
