DHL teams with Circle K Hong Kong
DHL Express has entered a partnership to extend its on-demand delivery service to more than 300 Circle K Hong Kong stores.
The agreement allows customers to visit the Circle K stores to pick up their overseas merchandise, whenever and wherever it is convenient.
On-demand delivery package receivers are proactively notified via email or SMS about a shipment’s progress via a mobile-optimised website that allows them to choose from a selection of delivery options – including redirecting their delivery to a DHL service point or nearby convenience store. The firm’s couriers are notified of customer delivery preferences in real-time.
“This partnership has expanded DHL Express’ delivery network to more than 600 touchpoints,” said DHL Express Hong Kong and Macau’s senior VP and MD Herbert Vongpusanachai. “The familiarity and convenience of Circle K will help enrich the connections we have with our customers as well as ensure we stay on top of their evolving needs.”
A new DHL feature sends an SMS reminder to receivers on the day of delivery to alert them to a specific time frame when they can expect to receive their package. Receivers can request for changes in delivery time and location to avoid a missed delivery if they are on the move.
“The growth of online shopping has fueled the need for greater delivery offering,” added Vongpusanachai. “On-demand delivery provides an intuitive and flexible delivery option that customers can be in control of. With this service, we offer local consumers a hassle-free international online shopping experience whilst supporting retailers around the world to reach their customers reliably and punctually.”
“This new partnership with DHL Express allows us to serve our customers better by offering them the chance to be in control of the last-mile fulfillment service of their online shopping experience, so that they can pick up their parcels at any time, from any nearby Circle K outlets,” said Circle K Hong Kong GM marketing & purchasing Krystie Tang.
With the addition of the Circle K stores, customers can now choose from more than 600 locations in Hong Kong, including 7-Eleven stores, partner DHL lockers and DHL service points, to pick up their overseas deliveries. On-demand delivery is now available in more than 160 countries and territories and in 45 languages globally.
