Korean skincare brand Goongbe thrives in Hong Kong
Natural skincare brand Goongbe has become the top brand in the Baby & Mum category at Hong Kong’s SaSa stores.
The brand is posting large-scale advertisements this month at SaSa stores in major commercial areas such as Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay and Mong Kok as well as in the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel shopping mall in Macau.
Goongbe established its baby skincare brand in the Hong Kong market by concluding an exclusive supply agreement with SaSa two years ago. The brand is expecting to achieve good sales figures for its newly released pure sunscreen, currently on display at all branch stores.
“Hong Kong consumers have a high degree of trust and brand preference for Goongbe despite the intense competition in the beauty market,” said SaSa’s VP of category management & product development Vivian Ko. “Goongbe has succeeded in attracting Hong Kong consumers with its convincing brand stories, beautiful product designs, and by releasing high-quality products consistently. In the near future, SaSa is planning to launch Goongbe’s women’s care products, which will satisfy pregnant consumers.”

Goongbe has diversified its distribution channels in South Korea and continues to enhance its brand image. In February this year, Goongbe officially launched its products at all Boots stores in South Korea, and currently has the largest number of stores in duty-free shops among baby skincare brands in the territory.
